Project Require Extract
Project Brief: In this project you are asked to engage with the most important ideas and issues of our time, and produce a manifesto. Working with a group of allocated peers you will identify an issue (e.g. political, social, cultural, personal or environmental) and write a manifesto statement that expresses your concerns. As an individual artist/designer you will then respond to your group manifesto, and create radical new designs or artworks appropriate to your specialist discipline (and addressing the relevant โPathway Specific Outcomesโ below). The final work should be supported by an extensive body of material experimentation and research.Returning to working with your allocated teams you will then document and communicate your creative responses and outcomes in the form of a โzineโ. (A zine is a self-produced, and typically experimental, printed form of publication. It is made individually or collaboratively in small groups using everyday processes (eg photocopying) as a means of sharing ideas).Project 1 therefor comprises three main elements:1. Write a manifesto as a group.2. Individually, produce practical work in response to your manifesto.3. Collectively in your teams, assemble your written manifesto and images of your practical work in the form of a zine publication

Group No.3
We are the No.3 group. Group member including: Junjun(coms), Yash(FA), MC (FA), Summer Chen (FA), Lili (P/I), Yinan(F/T) and me(F/T). A total of seven people have different majors.

The topics we can see are about 5G world, help kids, environmental issue and political issues.

After group discussion, we chose the subject – race. The main concept is the Racism. The reason is that because our team members are different race, and someone had relevant experiences.
Starting from ourself story. I think this empathy point is worth to consider.

The group was summed up the 6 polemical statements about the key word: Racism
1. We need to live in a world without borders.
2. No one should be prioritized.
3. Unified humanity is the future.
4. Soul worth more than it’s skin/shell.
5. All humans are brother and sisters.
6. You are one of us.

What is a Zine:
Very happy to have this opportunity that lecturer share a lot of different types zine for our reference.

A zine (/ziหn/ ZEEN; short for magazine or fanzine) is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier. Zines are the product of either a single person or of a very small group, and are popularly photocopied into physical prints for circulation. A fanzine (blend of fan and magazine) is a non-professional and non-official publication produced by enthusiasts of a particular cultural phenomenon (such as a literary or musical genre) for the pleasure of others who share their interest. The term was coined in an October 1940 science fiction fanzine by Russ Chauvenet and popularized within science fiction fandom, entering the Oxford English Dictionary in 1949.[citation needed]
