VOL.001 Start a New Chapter

I’m so pleased that become a Royal College of Art student!

Finally, start this new term and this new semester was also quite an adventure for me. Looking forward to developing more unknowns. It must be an important memory of my life.

Realized that the school has different campuses. My roommate also a RCA student but she was go to another campus.

In the time table we need enrolment at first day. After that we got our own student card!

We have a campus tour that knows we can use the school printer for free, computer lab(MAC&WIN), some equipment could use for our design（3D print, Laser cut…）and course introduction is on Tuesday. We got a rough idea about school departments. Such as IT, Student Union,Library and Student Services.

That is so great our lecturer shows us their lives and works. I have gained a lot and I understand that there is more than one piece of work. At the same time, they are also people who have a meaningful life. I think this is also because the experience can shape more in-depth works.

Pecha Kucha is the first challenge for us.

PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.

GD student is a big family, even each person just have 2 mins we still finished them after 5 p.m. And it is amazing that our classmates all got different background, various intake major. Just like the word Grey said: Diversity.

This is really exciting that we not only have the guidance from lecturer also could learn from our classmates. This is also a very interesting thing that what kind of sparks we will have? Then let us wait and see.
